Hampstead

Where to eat and drink in Hampstead, chosen on merit.

Hampstead is the village London never quite absorbed: a hill of Georgian lanes and painted cottages above the Heath, where the ponds are open for swimming and the view from Parliament Hill takes in the whole city. The pubs are old enough to have served Dickens and Keats, and several of them still feel that way.

Our Hampstead guides round up the best of it, from the Heath-side pubs to the restaurants on the village streets. Chosen on merit, for a walk that ends at a fire or a long Sunday lunch.
