London Hilton on Park Lane, Park Corner Brasserie

The London Hilton on Park Lane has occupied its Mayfair tower since the 1960s, and for eighteen years its best known feature was Galvin at Windows, the Michelin starred restaurant on the 28th floor run by the Galvin brothers. That restaurant closed in April 2024 as part of the hotel’s wider refurbishment programme, and the space has since reopened as Shanghai Me, a pan Asian concept with a dim sum library and wagyu kushiyaki, run by a Dubai based hospitality group rather than the original team, which is worth knowing if you are booking specifically for the old menu or chef.

Rooms are large by central London standards, particularly the King Executive rooms on floors seventeen to twenty seven, which come with marble bathrooms, Ultra HD televisions and views over Hyde Park or the City depending on which side of the building you are given.

Podium, the all day restaurant and bar on the ground floor, covers breakfast through to afternoon tea in a room that feels more corporate hotel than destination dining, which is honestly what most guests staying here for business are actually looking for rather than a headline restaurant experience.

There is a spa, Spa To You, offering a range of treatments, but no swimming pool, which is a notable gap for a hotel at this price point and one worth checking before booking if that matters to you, since several comparable Park Lane hotels do include one.

The location on Park Lane, directly opposite Hyde Park and a short walk from Bond Street and Mayfair’s private members’ clubs, remains the strongest reason to stay, more than any single restaurant inside it now, and it continues to function well as a base for both business trips and a few nights of sightseeing.

The hotel’s scale, with well over a thousand rooms across the tower, means it operates more like a large conference hotel than an intimate boutique stay, and guests booking for a romantic weekend or a quiet break may find the volume of business travellers and event delegates passing through the lobby at odds with what the Park Lane address suggests. Renovation work in parts of the building has been ongoing in stages, so it is worth checking which floors and facilities are currently open before booking a specific room type.
